Sustenance V
$1200- Unique Artwork donated by the artist
If we consult a dictionary, it will define desert as an “area of land without water and desolate, with little or no vegetation, typically covered with sand”.
And yet, there is life in the desert. More than most people realize. In the Namib (South Africa), this is due to the wonderful miracle of fog: clouds rolling in from the Atlantic Ocean bring with them the moisture that sustains the wildlife that live in this beautiful and harsh landscape.

Mobula’s Encounter
by Enric Gener$2250- Unique Artwork donated by the artist
Photograph was taken in the Mediterranean Sea in 2021.
Of all the pelagic encounters I have had in my life in multiple parts of the world, this one is undoubtedly my favorite. For being unexpected and happening a few miles away from where I was born and raised. I don’t know what will happen from now on, but until that moment, this event was something unique.

Nerve II
by Marta Caldas$800- Unique Artwork donated by the artist
The sway of the sea, the movement of the waves, the intriguingly intricate patterns in flowers, trees and underwater life permeates throughout her photographic artwork, reflecting her own perception of Nature, far beyond reality.
It all comes together in her very own modern vision of volume and colour, eminently pictorial and remarkable artistic quality. Her photographic work looks as if built up in a series of successive oil painting glazes. Composition is her forte, producing paintings and photographs that stimulate the senses and stir emotions.

Clubbing – Collection “Absolute Beginner”
by Oana Bakovic$879 – $2250- Unique Artwork donated by the artist
“I was about to take a photograph of these lovely purple flowers when the bee flew by. I was delighted to catch her in such a relaxed state around the flowers at Great Dixter House and Gardens in East Sussex, UK, 2021.
My art stems from the need to reconnect with the beautiful nature that surrounds us. As a human, I enjoy the wonders of discovery and constant advancement that define us as a species, but it also saddens me that we overlook the wonders so close at hand. The desire to overcome this condition pushed me on my own exploration, and I am happy to continue to move forward on that path day after day. This collection of photos documents the tragic beauty of nature’s alterations that occur before our eyes through snapshots taken in my local area that are meant to provoke exploration of the esoteric signs that nature gives us at every turn.”

Wu Yung Sen’s characteristic macro shot in this original photo reveals the beauty and stunning detail of the wunderpus larva from up close. We see its ghostly transparent body through the lens, a perfect biological camouflage as it dwells in the shallow waters.
The off-center compositional focus of this original photograph suspends the wunderpus perhaps lurking nearby for its meal, an unsuspecting hunter of the night.

Ivory on Black
$210 – $500- Hahnemüle Photo Rag Printing
African elephant, photographed and processed in the low-key portrait style.
Aesthetically, this image is all about the contrast of color, texture, and luminosity between the elephant’s tusks and trunk. It highlights the feature that is most emblematic of the species; the tusks, which tragically are also what makes them so highly prized by poachers.
Over time the darkness in my low-key portraits has become increasingly meaningful to me, and this photo certainly embodies that; representing the dark reality of the issues facing Elephants from the continuing ivory trade.

This aerial shot captures a moment in the village. After heavy rainfall and flood, a shortage of animal feed means the village animals swim from one side of the river to the other to collect food. The animals regularly swim across and at the end of the day they swim again and return home. The mundane phenomenon is transformed into a strangely beautiful abstract moment as the elements combine in a swirling mixture of earth and water. -

$210 – $500- Hahnemule Lustre Printing
In this original photo Fialkowska focused on capturing the best light and background for this young Talamanca Hummingbirds profile in his usual spot on an old steel rod. The end of the day was approaching at the edge of Costa Rica’s cloud forest, but this bird did not seem to care. When he appeared for the last time with rays of sun hitting his feathers, “he looked like telling me that hummingbirds can be as strong as steel rods.”

River Dragging
$210 – $500This image captures a moment in the artist’s home country, Bangladesh, where the impacts of river dragging on the aquatic ecosystem and the life it supports have been relatively well studied. The clear sky is a bold contrast to the glittering waves and dark plumes of smoke. The process of dragging helps the river flow normally. The effects of dragging can be immediate or develop over a longer time frame and they may be temporary or permanent.

Green Memory
$1800- Unique Artwork donated by the artist
Among the monumental representations, the ruin will become a key to our collective memory, the door to access the dream world that, as Marc Augé said, places us in a “pure time, without date, but with memory”. The ruins reaffirm the roots of our past and establish our heroic references. When they do not exist, they must be invented.
The false ruin -also called folly or caprice-, became fashionable in the landscape gardens of the wealthy European classes at the end of the 17th century. As generators of memory on demand, they recreate the Western vision of a history that clings to an idealized but necessary past to face the threat posed by the arrival of the industrial revolution and modernity, while soothing consciences troubled by the growing environmental degradation, the overexploitation of natural resources, the ruthless use of children and slaves, and the appropriation of other people’s wealth in colonized territories.
The passage of time dilutes the distinction between the original and its copy. The ruin and the photograph, with its supposed documentary veracity, as representations to shore up our fiction.

Sunset Cheetah Portrait
$1095- Unique Artwork donated by the artist
A sunset portrait of the beautiful Kisaru, one of the famous cheetahs of the Masai Mara in Kenya.
Cheetahs are known to be the fastest land animal, with the ability to sprint at speeds of up to 120 km/h (75 mph). They face extinction pressure due to climate change, hunting and habitat destruction by humans. Their numbers have declined from an estimated 100,000 in 1900 to about 6,000-7,000 today.
Cheetah experts and volunteers are doing research to help recover the population through health and reproduction, technology, cheetah census research, ecological research, and human-wildlife conflict research. There is hope, but only time and continued conservation efforts will tell if their alarming trend toward extinction can be altered.
