Self-Portrait
By Mireia Ruiz
This piece is a kind of visual summary of what defines Mireia Ruiz as a person and an artist. In the work, there are a large number of symbols and metaphors that represent her obsessions and concerns. Among them: a Pergolero, a bird that collects objects just like herself; on the other hand, there are big hands that represent the creative power , which symbolise her concern for artificial intelligence and its impact on humanity. Among them, we can also highlight the broken mobile phone that represents her tiredness due to the constant connection to online relationships.
