Flow my soul run without pause look for the look resonates your sound Flow my soul. The intriguing title of this piece invites the viewers to envelop themselves in a visceral landscape. Brushstrokes of color dance across the canvas, sometimes defined and sometimes with a blended smoothness like the reflective surface of a pont. And just like the environment near a pool of water, even in the stillness there is an energy that vibrates the air with color, texture, beauty, and release.

Decor tips: Blending the abstract and impressionist styles this piece can fit with the timeless taste of a classical interior or enhance the romantic atmosphere of a rustic French country style space. Create a focal point in the living room or foyer hanging over an elegant mantel or side table and complemented with colorful accents weaving together the whole room.

Description

Cristina De Castro | Colombia

The core of artist Cristina Di Castro’s work is characterized by the central theme of the osmosis of what surrounds us. She retains an interest in streams of knowledge itself such as the phenomenon of perception, scientific concepts of time and space, and theories that modify and question our surroundings, identities, and the spiritual aspects of humanity. Born in Bogota, Columbia, she first studied Fine Art at the Departmental Institute of Fine Arts in the city of Cali. To this day she continues to nurture her education continuously taking refresher courses on modern and contemporary art in different institutions such as the Banco de la Republica, Misol foundation for the arts; with renowned art critics and curators such as Alvaro Medina, Carlos Quintero and Nestor Martinez, drawing courses with the artist Natalia Castañeda and Blanca Moreno. In her compositions these thematic threads of knowledge are interwoven with a sensitivity to her own momentous story. Both materials and meanings are treated as transient, more fluid, blurred, and expressing the impossibility of feeling identified with the current reality- seeking new stages of realization. She has exhibited solo and as a contributor to group shows in Columbia as well as internationally in the United States, Mexico, Spain, and Austria. Her works are also part of private collections worldwide.
