Vito Theil | Spain
Vito Theil is an artist based in Barcelona where he once graduated in illustration from Escola d’Art I Superior de Disseny Llotja and later completed a Master’s Degree in Cartoon Production and Realization from ECIB Escola de Cinema. He has been part of collective exhibitions in Madrid and Valencia through American Prints and El Supermercado de Arte in 2000-2001, and at the ABARTIUM Gallery & Studio. His work can be seen at the Galeria Taller Balam where he held an individual exhibition in January 2022. His wide-range experience includes being the founder of Argo: a fanzine highlighting new talent in literature, comics, photography, and illustration from 2016-2017. Not just stunning and playful paintings and prints, Theil’s works can also be seen in posters, flyers, and press advertisements as he collaborates with cultural entities in Santa Coloma de Gramenet.
