Painted while listening to Roy Hargrove. From the first ocher gouache with leftover water, this piece  developed around spaces and celebrates the stains rather than directing them. The unlikely assistant was a piece of cardboard and fiberglass mesh, creating different marks that form a coherent whole. A verse trickles into the composition by Luis Garcia Montero,  a connection to Sánchez‘s sensations during the creative process. A complement to minimalist or modern interior designs can heighten the elegance and presence of art in the room. Allow personality into space using this piece to adorn common areas be it a living room or a bustling bar or cafe.

Description

Alfonso Sanchez | Spain

Alfonso Sanchez is a painter from Alicante, Spain. His passionate and intuitive approach to his work is led by a curiosity to explore the uncertainty. He sheds elaborate thoughts and visits the most primitive state of mind to be guided onto a lyrical journey of gesture and embodied connection to the music he listens to. His free expression embraces the unknown to express crude sensations that connect with the oldest part of being, “I think deep down I am a very similar to a painter from 30 or 40,000 years ago”
