Description
Raúl Velloso | Spain
Galician painter Raúl Velloso began his work in Barcelona. While selling paintings in the street, the originality and innocence of this style caught the attention of the great Antoni Tàpies, who became his teacher and link to the bullfighting world. His attraction to bullfighting aesthetics fittingly came to him from his father and grandmother. Perhaps for this reason, as an adult, he manages to capture the emotion of the bullring and the unique expression of bullfighter Manolete in his works.
