Veils and folds of color unfurl in this stunning photograph, a provocation to lean in to observe the hidden detail. It is an ethereal aura that draws viewers into the otherworldly aesthetic of With Care:  a series of 18 photographs that sets aside expectations of image and meaning. An escape from rational sense is encouraged for colors, shapes, and movements to inspire a sensorial reaction unconditioned by normative viewership.

Decor tips

These stunning photographs create a soothing and tranquil environment, perfect for any place in need of a restful atmosphere. The colors and glowing effect can pronounce the palette of muted interiors and maintain a soft focal point in the edited aesthetic of industrial or contemporary styles.

Description

Teresa Alvarez Lavilla | Spain

Teresa Alvarez Lavilla is a multi-disciplinary artist born in Madrid. One of the rooted inspirations of her work is the relationship between body and space: a provocative theme woven into many of her artistic expressions.  Daughter  of a pianist and granddaughter of a mezzo-soprano, she grew up in a culturally rich environment connecting with music, performing arts, and visual art from a young age. She maintains an interest in physical theatre and dance; having trained at Centro Andaluz de Danza (CAD) in Seville, the Movement Research in New York,  and with choreographers such as Francesc Bravo, Luz Arcas or Mey Ling Bisogno among others while in Spain. In addition, she also studied contemporary art history and galleries, eventually completing a Master’s degree in Museology. Lavilla currently continues to create multi-disciplinary work and lead workshops for movement and composition.
