This artwork, together with Coveñas and La Rochela, is part of a triptych capturing the moments along Esteban Ocampos artistic journey from before to after. The artist draws on his own experiences in the subtleties of his paintings to bring a personal touch and meaning to his creation. In this composition dominated by pastel pink he recreates a scene of intimacy behind curtains without revealing the whole story.

Description

Esteban Ocampo | Manizales

Born and raised in Manizales, Colombia, Esteban Ocampo-Giraldo studied visual arts at the Universidad Pontificia Javeriana, and specialized in painting at the New York Academy of Art. He has had the opportunity to show his work in numerous cities in the United States, Europe, and Latin America.

His paintings depict scenes from memory, merging nostalgia and contemporary adult life. “His work employs dynamic and often dramatic, first person perspectives that allow you to insert yourself into the frame, joining the artist in these moments of kinship and joy.” (Art Maze Magazine).
