Iberian Lynx

Iberian Lynx

  • Unique Artwork donated by the artist

The penetrating amber gaze from this majestic creature takes the beholder’s breath away. This photograph captures not only the essence of the animal, but also its physical details – the dramatic lighting and the pitch dar background makes this frame all the more theatrical.

After 20 years of work, the population of the Iberian lynx has increased tenfold from a critically endangered species (with less than 100 individuals) to an endangered species (in 2020 with 1,111 lynx). WWF continues to work to triple the population and save the lynx from the risk of extinction.
