Tell me your Fears

Tell me your Fears

In this striking freeze, McKay draws from personal experience around  dealing with anxiety and fear. In a dramatic central focus, a figure sits with the familiar posture of perhaps a burdened office worker. The stillness of their body is reflected in the closed and sombre depiction of his head- a literal cage of thought. Negative thinking and intrusive thoughts  are locked away in the mind. This provocative piece invites conversation and subjective interpretation to harvest the deeper meaning beyond the pleasing aesthetic.

Philip Mckay | United Kingdom

Digital artist Phil Mckay has found international success starting his creative journey as a self taught artist from Liverpool, UK. His self described scenes of unreality and imaginary places come from a fusion of inspirations. Some of these influences include Belgian artist Magritte and  music album artist Storm Thorgerson, a reflection of his playful connection to music that continues to feed his creativity. McKays wild imagination continues to delight as book covers, exhibitions, and now original wall art.
