The forbidden zone

The forbidden zone

“This photo was taken during Corona .The man was selling newspapers but the city was empty”.

A surreal moment is captured in this original photograph amidst the pandemic lockdown. Almost an allegorical representation of the global situation, an X looms towards the man, captured in a slice of light against and inky backdrop. What could be a dramatic confrontation is questioned by the movement in his posture- as if to continue past the obstacle and seek the unknown territory that lies beyond.
