3D Shadow
by Sara Goli$339 – $558“Minimalism means less is more” Sara Goli’s original photography embodies her artistic ethos both in its process and the content it depicts. A rough concrete wall joins a smoother stone flooring, connected by a slim wooden slat leaning and casting a jaunty shadow. The first look of this photo provides a simple aesthetic clean composition. Variance in texture and material is highlighted by the simple setup that pronounces the shadows as if treating them as another material entirely. With a long look, the composition may shift with the mind producing a more abstract interpretation. Shadow and wood pop out as the geometric center of the composition; a triangle floating in space through which a single line thread through.
This piece complements a modern space as a framed photo for the wall. It encapsulates two worlds of art: photography and geometric abstraction. By doing so it also makes subtle comment and reminder that despite the critique and trends, art interpretation and perspective remains a subjective experience.

Unity is Strength
$67 – $417A combination of fiery colors and ragged textures creates a powerful image unique in its haunting strength and unusual composition. The provocative title of this piece may refer to the power of the elements. Rising from a stormy colored sea a stone arch creates a window to the water. Gradients in color delight the eyes as the chalky white stone blends into flame-colored hues of rich red and burnt orange, like embers to rising pillars of stone. The forms present in this shot are intriguing and playful to the eye. With a closer look, depth and space appear warped by the interesting and odd windows created in the rock formations. The negative space created leaps out to twist into a new perception of the same scene.
